Why?

Kelsey-Jo opted for HPC as her workplace due to its strong community focus and commitment to accessibility for families of all background and socioeconomic statuses. Her family is comprised of her husband and her dog. When she is away from the office, she enjoys embarking on hiking adventures with her dog, delving into good books, exploring new places and savoring new tasty dishes.

Kelsey-Jo’s decision to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner came from her belief that healthier children lead to healthier communities. She strives to empower patients and their families at all points in their lives as they achieve wellness and health. She is passionate about working with all ages with particular interest in infants, adolescents, and LGBTQ+ youth. She has a special focus in mental health, resiliency building, social influences of health, and medical-legal partnerships. Kelsey-Jo also performs insertions and removals of the contraceptive implant (NEXPLANON) and provides PrEp for HIV prevention. Within HPC, she serves on various committees dedicated to supporting gender diversity, patients experiencing mental health crisis, and communications with our patients. Kelsey-Jo gives back to her community by teaching future providers at OHSU and being the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Oregon Health Justice Center.

Kelsey-Jo is at our Orenco location on Fridays.
